A Welcome Letter to our Tutors, Mentors, and Support Team!
Allow me to be the first to welcome each of you welcome you to our cloud-based, distance learning program. We here at Academic Foundations 365 are excited and appreciative of the time you are taking to engage with our students, albeit through scheduled Zoom or Google Meets interactive platforms, or through email. (*For the safety and security of our students and staff (paid or volunteer), we strongly discourage our students, tutors, and/or mentors to engage in tutoring or mentoring sessions over the phone).
The value of services such as yours cannot be overstated or under valued enough. While many of our students may fall outside the classification of being "at-risk", many of our students find themselves challenged with life circumstances that have pulled them from traditional classroom settings. However, with resilient hearts and minds, these students have opted to once more engage and pursue their respective diplomas, certificate(s) of completion, and studies in all matters faith, family, and business related. However, our students may, and most likely will find themselves challenged along the way. That's where you come in!
As an Academic and /or Vocational programs Tutor, you may hold the key to understanding much of the academic and/or vocational materials our students have opted to engage in. You very well may be the bridge of understanding that has been absent on their pathway to success!
Not sure tutoring is a right fit for you? All students, age and study pathways aside, sometimes just need that listening ear and that spirit of encouragement to get them over the next hurdle. Ralph Waldo Emerson once said "Our chief want is someone who will inspire us to be what we know we could be".
Whatever role you choose to take on and engage in, albeit tutor or mentor, know that you are a valued and respected part of our team at Academic Foundations 365.
